The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for conducting regular preventive maintenance to ensure optimal operation of machinery and equipment. This role involves troubleshooting and performing repairs as necessary, utilizing the appropriate tools and equipment under the supervision of the Maintenance Manager or President.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on various equipment, including motors, belts, and hydraulic systems.
  • Repair or replace defective components using the correct tools and techniques.
  • Maintain accurate logs of repairs and maintenance activities for all company-owned machinery and vehicles.
  • Assist in the procurement of necessary supplies and parts.
  • Perform maintenance on heating, plumbing, and electrical systems as required.
  • Oversee grounds maintenance tasks, including landscaping and snow removal.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment.
Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma or GED required. Relevant experience in maintenance is preferred.

Skills:

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with team members and vendors.
  • Capacity to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
Physical Requirements

Candidates must be able to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 75 pounds, working at heights, and navigating confined spaces. Regular attendance and punctuality are essential.

Working Environment

This position involves both indoor and outdoor work, with varying temperatures. Safety-toed boots are required, and all necessary tools and equipment will be provided by the company.
