Cook 3 - Main Kitchen


We are currently seeking a highly skilled Cook 3 to join our culinary team at the Beverly Wilshire, a Four Seasons Hotel. As a Cook 3, you will be responsible for preparing breakfast, lunch, and dinner dishes to exacting standards while maintaining a clean and safe working environment.



Responsibilities

  • Prepare food items according to guest orders, following recipe cards and production, portion, and presentation standards.
  • Start food items ahead of time, ensuring they are prepared within estimated needs.
  • Operate, maintain, and properly clean kitchen equipment, including deep fryers, broilers, stoves, steamers, food processors, mixers, slicers, ovens, steam tables, tilt kettles, waffle irons, and flat top grills.
  • Date all food containers and rotate them according to policies, ensuring perishables are kept at proper temperatures.
  • Check pars for shift use, determine necessary preparation, freezer pull, and line set up; note any out-of-stock items or possible shortages.
  • Comply with Four Seasons' Category One and Category Two Work Rules and Standards of Conduct as set forth in EmPact.


Requirements and Qualifications

  • High school education, cooking school, culinary institute education, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 1-year culinary or related work experience.
  • Speaking, writing, and reading English is required.
  • General knowledge of labor laws desired.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn are essential.


Compensation and Benefits

The hourly rate for this position is $25.96 (80% of contract rate) for the first 9 months, increasing to $29.20 (90% of contract rate) for the next 9 months.
