Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Registered Nurse to join our Ambulatory Care team. As a Senior Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing advanced skilled nursing to patients with complex needs, while actively engaging and supporting patients in their pursuit of health objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and identify nursing care needs
  • Plan, organize, and implement nursing plans for patients
  • Develop and implement patient and family education programs
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with physicians, patients, and co-workers
  • Teach, mentor, and supervise others
  • Participate in the development of clinic policies, procedures, and protocols for patient care
  • Assist in establishing patient care standards and track the performance of nursing staff
  • Effectively prepare and present reports and recommendations
  • Participate in nursing committee activities
  • Maintain current knowledge in specialty areas
  • Operate county-owned vehicles to carry out field work assignments
Requirements
  • Three years of full-time professional registered nursing experience, including two years of full-time experience in an assigned specialty area
  • Current, valid license as a Registered Nurse issued by the State of California
  • Current, valid Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification
  • Valid California driver license
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in Ambulatory Care and/or Whole Person Care
  • Experience working with individuals facing substance use challenges and/or those dealing with mental health issues
