We are seeking a skilled Truck Maintenance Technician to join our team at JBS Carriers, Inc. As a key member of our maintenance department, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our fleet of Class 8 tractors.
Key Responsibilities- Repair and maintain all systems of a Class 8 tractor, including electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.
- Perform DOT inspections and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.
- Replace clutches, brakes, and tires as necessary to ensure safe and efficient operation.
- Diagnose and repair engine problems, including those related to PACCAR Engines.
- Communicate effectively with drivers to address maintenance issues and ensure timely resolution.
- Perform preventative maintenance to prevent breakdowns and extend the lifespan of our equipment.
- Must have experience as a Class 8 tractor mechanic or have adequate trade school training and experience.
- Must be a team player, hardworking, reliable, and able to work a flexible schedule.
- Must have adequate computer skills to perform duties assigned.
- Must have proper tools to perform the job.
- An active CDL is desired but not required.
- Benefits: Vision, Medical, and Dental coverage begin after 60 days of employment.
- Better Futures Program: 2 Year Community College tuition paid for you or your dependents.
- Paid Time Off: sick leave, vacation, and 6 company observed holidays.
- 401(k): company match begins after the first year of service and follows the company vesting schedule.
- Base salary range of $18.50.
