STERIS Corporation: Medical Device Repair Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Medical Device Repair Specialist to join our team at STERIS Corporation. In this role, you will be responsible for performing repairs and maintenance on medical devices and equipment in a lab-based setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform basic to intermediate level repairs of medical devices and equipment to specifications.
  • Identify problems within the job role and use standardized testing procedures to examine and test mechanisms for defects.
  • Replace or repair defective parts and reassemble devices or equipment.
  • Meet fundamental troubleshooting requirements.
  • Identify risks and issues and escalate them timely and effectively.
  • Adhere to Standard Work Instructions (SWI) and Company ISO goals and objectives.

Requirements:

  • Required 2+ years of work experience, including at least 1 year of relevant experience, or 1 year of experience at STERIS; all experience must be verifiable.
  • Relevant experience may include hands-on repair, assembly, or product testing and use of small hand tools.
  • Small engine repair, cell phone and electronics repair, testing, or re-builds, carpentry, circuit board assembly and repair, sterile processing, industrial sewing, and jewelry repair can also be relevant to this role.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with solder, brazing or other fine mechanical applications is preferred.
  • Vocational / Technical Degree preferred.
  • Certifications in technical training preferred.
