Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Backhaul Dedicated Driver to join our team at Performance Food Group. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for driving a tractor-trailer on intrastate and interstate routes to pick up and deliver food and non-food products to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive a tractor-trailer on assigned routes to pick up and deliver products to customers in a safe and timely manner.
  • Perform pre- and post-trip inspections of the vehicle and equipment to ensure compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
  • Communicate with customers, vendors, and co-workers to ensure accurate and timely delivery of products.
  • Complete all necessary paperwork and documentation related to backhaul operations.
  • Collaborate with the logistics team to optimize routes and ensure efficient delivery of products.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • 1+ years of commercial driving experience
  • Valid CDL-A
  • 21+ years of age
  • Meet all State licensing and/or certification requirements (where applicable)
  • Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for past 3 years
  • Pass post-offer drug test and criminal background check
  • Pass road test
  • Attain or have valid current DOT Health Card
Preferred Qualifications
  • 2-4 years of commercial driving experience
  • Meet the medical requirements of the DOT
  • Commercial driving experience
  • Experience in foodservice distribution industry
