Clinical Therapist

The Clinical Therapist will be responsible for providing high-quality clinical treatment and case management services to children and adolescents with special mental health needs. This role requires establishing and implementing effective treatment plans, providing individual, group, and family therapy, and conducting comprehensive mental health assessments.
Key Responsibilities- Assessment and Treatment Planning: Conduct thorough mental health assessments to determine the need for services and develop treatment plans that address client needs and strengths.
- Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client progress and treatment plans, adhering to agency and regulatory requirements.
- Liaison and Collaboration: Establish and maintain relationships with family members, community agencies, and other stakeholders to ensure effective treatment and support.
- Counseling and Therapy: Provide individual, family, and group counseling services to clients, adapting to their unique needs and circumstances.
- Operational Tasks: Complete assigned program tasks, including data entry, reporting, and other administrative duties, as directed by supervisors.
- Education and Licensure: Master's or Ph.D. degree in a behavioral science field from an accredited institution, with a current license or registration in the relevant state agency.
- Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage with at-risk populations and their families.
- Physical and Mental Demands: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with physical demands including standing, walking, and occasional lifting.
- Experience in MediCal Certified Sites: Previous experience working in MediCal certified settings, with familiarity with MediCal service standards and expectations.
- Working with At-Risk Youth: Experience working with at-risk youth and their families in a mental health setting, with a focus on providing culturally sensitive services.
- Language Skills: Fluency in regional threshold languages spoken by the population served, with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse clients and families.
