    • Assume responsibility for extracurricular activities as assigned.
    • Be a positive role model for students and support the mission of our school district.
  • Classroom Management and Organization:
    • Create a classroom environment that fosters learning and promotes the physical, social, and emotional development of students.
    • Manage student behavior in accordance with our Student Code of Conduct and student handbook.
    • Take necessary precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities.
    • Assist in selecting instructional materials and compile, maintain, and file required reports and records.
  • Communication:
    • Establish and maintain professional relationships with parents, students, colleagues, and community members.
  • Professional Growth and Development:
    • Participate in staff development activities to improve job-related skills.
    • Comply with state, district, and school regulations and policies.
    • Attend and participate in faculty meetings and serve on staff committees as required.
  • Additional Duties:
    • Perform any other duties as assigned by your immediate supervisor.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
  • Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements or training.
  • Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject area assigned.
  • Knowledge of core academic subject, curriculum, and instruction.
  • Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • One-year student teaching or approved internship preferred.
