Job Overview

DRMP is seeking a highly skilled Senior Drainage Engineer to support our Northwest Florida offices. This individual will be responsible for applying, planning, and designing roadway projects, as well as making recommendations that align with the organization's objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide engineering analysis and design of stormwater management solutions for transportation projects.
  • Oversee and manage design and production of construction details, plans, specifications, and estimates.
  • Collaborate with clients, subconsultant partners, technical staff, and managers across multiple disciplines to develop quality deliverables within schedule and budgetary requirements.
  • Direct and mentor less-experienced support staff.
  • Conduct engineering investigations and planning work by completing well-defined tasks, including collection and analysis of data, routine calculations, and evaluation of feasibility of alternate solutions.
  • Support business development efforts, including proposal pursuit efforts.
  • Build relationships with key staff of clients, potential clients, teaming partners, and contractors.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.
  • Professional Engineering Registration with the State.
  • 10-15 years of relevant, progressive transportation design experience.
  • Drainage experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and application of DOT design standards and specifications.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet client deadlines.
  • Detail-oriented team player with an ability to contribute to a positive work environment.
  • Valid driver's license with approved/acceptable driving history required.
