About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team at Lockheed Martin, supporting the development of Ground Missile Defense (GMD) systems. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and developing electrical components and systems for our GMD Weapon System.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop electrical components and systems for the GMD Weapon System
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate electrical systems with other components
  • Develop and evaluate electrical circuit design efforts
  • Perform qualification testing, characterization testing, and troubleshooting of completed designs
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including technical drawings, specifications, and test procedures
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in a STEM-related field and minimum 2 years of related experience, or Master's Degree in a STEM-related field and 2 years of related experience
  • Current US DoD Secret Security clearance is required
  • Ability to support an in-office/closed-area work environment full-time
  • Prior experience with the design, test, and/or integration and deployment of electrical components, electrical ground support equipment (EGSE), or subsystems
  • Knowledge and application of industry electrical engineering technical standards
Desired Skills
  • Experience with DOORS and/or CAMEO
  • Experience in system engineering knowledge areas, including technical planning, requirements derivation, functional analysis, timeline analysis, trade studies, cost and risk analysis, interface definition, system design, system integration, verification and validation, supportability, and effectiveness analyses for total systems
  • Demonstrated experience in electrical power distribution and design systems
  • Able to interpret and develop electrical schematics
