Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare all meals according to the menu in a safe and sanitary manner under the guidance of the food services director.
• Ensure proper preparation, portioning, and serving of meals according to standardized recipes.
• Produce high-quality food items in accordance with established recipes and menus.
• Adhere to all safety and sanitation protocols.
• Prepare meals promptly at designated meal times.
• Address any community concerns or issues that may arise in the dining area.
• Follow departmental procedures regarding sanitation, safety, and cleaning schedules.
• Implement proper cleaning methods and storage for all dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment.
• Ensure all food in storage areas is labeled and dated appropriately.
• Oversee proper food handling to prevent contamination, enhance quality, and minimize costs.
• Propose menu or recipe modifications to utilize leftovers and other ingredients effectively.
• Maintain cleanliness of all food service equipment, kitchen, and storage areas.

Qualifications:

• Demonstrated experience as a Cook.
• Understanding of sanitation and safety regulations.
• Proficient in meal preparation according to instructions.
• Adept in using cookware, bakeware, and cooking appliances.
• Personable with strong communication skills.
• Good physical condition and stamina.
• High school diploma or equivalent; certification in food services is advantageous.
• Must provide a criminal background check.
