We are seeking a highly skilled Correctional Medicine Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Adelphi Medical Staffing, LLC. As a Correctional Medicine Nurse Practitioner, you will be responsible for providing high-quality medical care to inmates in a correctional facility.
Key Responsibilities- Provide primary and specialty care to inmates, including health screenings, vaccinations, and treatment of acute and chronic illnesses
- Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and coordination of services
- Conduct medical evaluations and make diagnoses, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests as needed
- Prescribe medications and treatments, monitoring patient response and adjusting as necessary
- Master's degree in Nursing or related field
- Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner in the state of Virginia
- Experience working in a correctional setting, preferably in a Nurse Practitioner role
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with diverse populations
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
