We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team at Christus Health. As a Certified Nursing Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our patients and their families.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with routine and repetitive patient care activities in a nursing unit, under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse/licensed Nurse.
- Perform specific clerical, organizational, and patient-focused activities to ensure seamless patient care.
- Complete pertinent documents and maintain accurate records.
- Assure that all patient belongings accompany the patient to the new unit or home at time of discharge.
- Clean, procure, and return equipment and supplies as needed.
- Run errands for the unit as required.
- Replenish patient room with water, linen, and towels, as appropriate.
- Perform unit-specific patient care tasks in accordance with the skills checklist and documents on the flowsheet.
- Assist with the ordering and maintenance of stock items according to established inventory when needed.
- Keep unit supplies in an organized and orderly fashion.
- Communicate effectively with other team members during and between shifts.
- Respond to phone calls and patient call lights.
- Adapt assigned patient assessment, treatment, and/or care methods to accommodate the unique physical, psychosocial, cultural, age-specific, and other developmental needs of each patient served.
- Patient care experience in an acute care setting is preferred.
- CNA License in state of employment required.
