About the Unit

Our Intensive Care Unit (ICU) is a state-of-the-art facility that provides comprehensive care to patients with complex medical conditions, including cardiac, renal, pulmonary, and endocrine disorders, as well as infectious diseases and some surgical patients.

We offer advanced treatments such as Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT) and Hypothermia therapy for post-cardiac arrest patients.

Scope of Work

The Registered Nurse (RN) in our ICU utilizes the nursing process to provide patient-centered care, assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and discharging patients.

The RN works under the direction of the Nurse Leader, adhering to Corewell Health policies and procedures, and recognizes the impact of nursing care on patient outcomes.

The RN partners with patients and families to develop individualized care plans, provides education and support, and documents patient progress in the health record.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must:

  • Hold an Associate's degree in Nursing (ADN) or a Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN)
  • Have at least one year of acute care experience or two years of experience in a licensed healthcare role
  • Be certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
  • Be willing to obtain specialty certification within two years
