The Supplier Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for creating statements of work, processes, procedures, and production layouts for the manufacturing of tooling assemblies, machining, and material handling equipment. This role requires knowledge of composite manufacturing, tooling design, and mechanical assemblies.
Key Responsibilities:
Create statements of work, processes, procedures, and production layouts for tooling assemblies, machining, and material handling equipment.
Work closely with the tooling design team and in-house fabrication group to translate complex tooling designs into instructions for suppliers.
Coordinate directly with suppliers to ensure all aspects of the build process are understood and that suppliers meet quality, cost, and schedule requirements.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related engineering/scientific discipline.
2-5+ years of experience in a manufacturing engineering facility or equivalent.
Knowledge of composite manufacturing, tooling design, and mechanical assemblies.
Proficiency with CAD software such as NX and Catia, and laser inspection is preferred but not required.
