We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Physician to serve as Medical Director for our Cabell/Huntington, WV region. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for implementing our medical services, policies, and procedures in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Assume administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability for implementing our medical services, policies, and procedures.
- Coordinate medical care, including emergency treatment procedures, and maintain effective liaison with attending physicians.
- Implement methods to ensure the quality of care is constantly under surveillance.
- Provide necessary physician services for residents within skilled nursing facilities and/or clinic environments.
- M.D. or D.O. degree required.
- Gerontology certification preferred.
- MD or DO license in the State of West Virginia.
- ABMS Board Certification in Internal Medicine, Family Practice, Geriatrics, or Hospice/Palliative.
- 5+ years of experience working with geriatric or long-term care populations.
- Demonstrated experience working with and educating NP's.
- Healthcare management/leadership experience.
- Familiarity with CMS, Medicare Advantage, SNP Rules and Regulations.
- HCC and Risk Adjusted reimbursement methodology.
- Inpatient/SNF utilization metrics and bed day management.
- State-specific collaborative practice agreements and mid-level practitioner licensing.
- Knowledge of EMR.
