Nurturing Educator

We are seeking an experienced Child Development Specialist to join our team at the MaryMargaret Day Care and Learning Center. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for developing a cohesive teaching team, coordinating the curriculum, and managing the day-to-day operational activities of the classroom.
About the Job
This is a full-time position with an estimated salary of $50,000-$65,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 6 months of professional child care experience and excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and implement educational curriculum that meets the needs of our diverse student population.
- Lead by example; encourage teaching team success through modeling and coaching.
- Plan individual and group activities to promote social, cognitive, and emotional growth in children.
- Maintain open lines of communication with parents through regular updates and progress reports.
- Ensure compliance with all center policies and state regulations.
- Maintain a safe and healthy classroom environment.
- Supervise teacher assistants and classroom volunteers.
- Maintain accurate records and files.
- Continuously develop your professional skills to ensure high-quality instruction.
- Minimum of 6 months of professional child care experience.
- Strong oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills.
- High energy and the ability to work well with others.
- A strong understanding of child development.
- Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification.
- Must clear full background check and must pass health screening.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
After 90 days of probation: all staff begin earning PTO. PTO is determined by a percentage of hours worked. After 1 year of employment: staff maintaining 35 hours per week continue to earn PTO, plus qualify for paid holidays and 1 week paid vacation.
