Key Responsibilities
  • Training and Development: Under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, you will receive comprehensive training in pharmacy practices, procedures, and protocols. You will learn to interpret and clarify orders, evaluate medication orders for potential interactions, and monitor patients for proper nutrition and medication therapy.
  • Pharmacy Operations: You will assist in preparing medications, filling medication cassettes, and completing documentation. You will also help to maintain accurate records, restock medications, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Patient Care: You will interact with patients, families, and healthcare staff to identify and clarify pharmaceutical needs. You will assist in entering medication orders into the computer system, completing paperwork, and coordinating insurance billing.
  • Quality Improvement: You will contribute to quality improvement initiatives, maintain established departmental policies and procedures, and adhere to regulatory requirements.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree Required
  • Licenses: PHARMIN-Pharmacy Intern - BPS - Board of Pharmacy Specialties Required
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Ability to work as a team member, attention to detail, knowledge of basic pharmacy practices and procedures, and strong communication skills.
