Job Description:

As a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant, your primary responsibility will be to assist the occupational therapist in delivering therapy services to students. This will involve implementing treatment plans designed to improve fine motor skills, sensory processing, and daily living activities, as well as providing support in both individual and group therapy sessions. You will also collaborate with teachers, staff, and parents to ensure therapy goals are being met and document student progress and communicate updates to the occupational therapist and school team.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you must have Illinois COTA certification, an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy or a relevant field, and at least 1+ years of experience in occupational therapy. Experience in a school-based setting is preferred, but not required. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential, as well as the ability to work effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
