We are currently looking for a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to enhance our team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver hands-on patient care as per the operational needs of Wound Technology Network Inc.
- Perform wound debridement using various safe methods during patient visits.
- Apply topical wound care and relevant management products.
- Recommend additional services to optimize wound healing outcomes, including labs, imaging tests, vascular assessments, referrals, home health services, and necessary medical equipment.
- Interpret diagnostic results and suggest appropriate follow-up actions.
- Advise on prescriptions and Durable Medical Equipment (DME) to support wound healing and prevention within the scope of practice.
- Conduct risk assessments for patients with Diabetes, adhering to ADA guidelines.
- Provide patient education and management.
- Educate primary care providers on current wound management practices.
- Communicate patient updates to primary care providers and referring physicians.
Qualifications:
- Graduate degree in nursing from an accredited institution and completion of a Nurse Practitioner program or graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
- National certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant; wound care certification is preferred.
- 1-3 years of experience in an advanced practice role.
- Active, unrestricted license as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
- Ability to work independently.
- Physical capability to lift 50 lbs. or more and perform patient repositioning.
- Valid driver's license.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in a professional setting.
- Ability to prioritize tasks effectively while managing multiple responsibilities.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
