Job Description

The City of Clovis is seeking a qualified Bus Operator to join our team. As a Part-Time Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting passengers on our public transportation system. This is a unique opportunity to make a difference in your community and provide essential services to our citizens.

**Responsibilities**
• Drive a motor coach on general public fixed-route systems and demand-response services
• Assist elderly and disabled riders, providing exceptional customer service
• Perform light vehicle maintenance, as required
• Operate lift equipment and mobile radios, ensuring safe and efficient operations

**Requirements**
• Possession of a valid California Commercial Driver's License with Passenger (P) endorsement
• Completion of formal or informal education sufficient to ensure the ability to read and write at the level required for successful job performance
• Three years of licensed experience in motor vehicle operations or equivalent experience in public transportation

**Working Conditions**
• Medium work, lifting, carrying, and/or pushing up to 75 pounds
• Frequent bending, stooping, reaching, standing, walking, and climbing ladders for cleaning and assisting passengers
• Exposure to various weather conditions, including extreme temperatures and precipitation

Estimated salary: $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience.
