Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Machine Assembler to join our team. As a Machine Assembler, you will be responsible for assembling a variety of gear processing machines using blueprints, schematics, and detailed work instructions. You will work with various hand tools and building equipment to complete machine builds, assemble sub-components, and inspect parts and equipment to ensure customer specifications are met.

Responsibilities
  • Assemble gear processing machines using blueprints, schematics, and detailed work instructions
  • Work with various hand tools and building equipment to complete machine builds
  • Assemble sub-components of machines
  • Inspect, clean, and assemble parts and equipment to ensure customer specifications are met
  • Use crane and various hand and power tools
  • Identify and resolve issues regarding the assembly of the machine
  • Utilize precision measurement equipment
Requirements
  • Read and comprehend detailed work instructions
  • Math skills such as add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • Work productively within a team environment as well as individually
  • Read and understand mechanical or electrical blueprints/diagrams
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Proficient skill in the use of precision measurement tools

Work Environment

The work environment is a manufacturing environment with moving mechanical parts, wet and/or humid conditions, high, precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, outside weather conditions, extreme heat, risk of electrical shock, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
