- Input data into the computer system to process prescriptions and secure reimbursement/payment, utilizing knowledge of pharmaceuticals, medical terminology, and the metric system.

- Read and enter written prescriptions and medical information, including performing drug calculations and interpreting physicians' orders into the computerized medication order system.


- Conduct computer system operations, which may encompass order entry, billing, crediting, and updating medical records.
- Enter daily orders (new and refills).
- Audit input against documentation and make necessary corrections.
- Generate reports as required.
- Identify and resolve denial issues or follow-up on claims by maintaining up-to-date knowledge of Medicaid claim regulations and processes.
- Participate in the orientation, training, competency assessment, and evaluation of Pharmacy Data Entry Technicians.
- May enter IV medication orders into the medication order system.
- Carry out Pharmacy Technician duties as necessary.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned.
- Execute job responsibilities in accordance with the standards outlined in the Company's Code of Business Conduct and Ethics, its policies and procedures, the Corporate Compliance Agreement, applicable federal and state laws, and relevant professional standards.

Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent; National PTCB Technician Certification is desirable.
- One year of experience in data entry within a long-term care pharmacy setting.
- Ability to communicate effectively, collaborate as part of a team, and recognize and identify patient medications.
- Proficient in operating a computer.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Knowledge of Medicaid claims regulations and processes.
- As required by state law, technician licensure or certification in relevant states.
- Possess strong communication, initiative, problem-solving, teamwork, leadership, and detail-oriented skills.
