Vanderbilt LifeFlight Paramedic

Vanderbilt University Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Paramedic to join our LifeFlight Ground Transport team. As a Paramedic, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and transportation services to patients in need.

• Provide direct patient care and transportation services to patients in need, utilizing advanced life support skills and critical thinking.
• Work collaboratively with other healthcare team members to ensure safe and effective patient care.
• Respond to emergency requests and transport patients via various modes of transportation, including ground and air.
• Utilize problem-solving skills to resolve patient problems and implement solutions.
• Effectively communicate patient handover to the healthcare team.

• Assessing, Intervening & Stabilizing Patients: Possesses sufficient fundamental proficiency to successfully demonstrate assessing, intervening, and stabilizing patients in practical applications of moderate difficulty.
• Medication Management: Conducts a comprehensive and systematic assessment of a person's ability to comply with a prescribed medication regime.
• Critical Thinking: Displays clarity, accuracy, precision, consistency, relevance, and sound evidence in the successful completion of tasks and projects.
• Airway Establishing: Possesses sufficient fundamental proficiency to successfully demonstrate airway establishing in practical applications of moderate difficulty.
• Ventilator Management: Possesses sufficient fundamental proficiency to successfully demonstrate ventilator management in practical applications of moderate difficulty.
