About This Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Journeyman to join our team at Carrier, a leading global provider of healthy, safe, and sustainable building and cold chain solutions. As a Journeyman, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional service to our customers, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical malfunctions in heating and cooling systems
  • Perform regular maintenance on HVAC units to ensure optimal performance
  • Install, replace, or repair equipment, including thermostatic controls, heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning parts, and low- and high-pressure liquid lines
  • Assemble and install metal ductwork to ensure efficient airflow
  • Assist in planning and designing new installations of heating and air-conditioning systems
  • Provide estimates of materials required for projects
  • Repair and replace damaged parts and equipment
  • Read and interpret blueprints, floor plans, and wiring diagrams
  • Stay up-to-date with City, State, and EPA regulations
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with customers and their representatives
  • Safely operate company vehicles, machinery, and equipment
  • Recognize and mitigate risks and safety hazards in HVAC operations
  • Escalate or elevate situations to Supervisor or Manager for guidance or additional support
  • Participate in required safety training and maintain state or national required licensing
Required Qualifications

We are looking for a Journeyman with:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Valid driver's license
  • 5+ years of practical working experience in the HVAC Industry
  • Ability to lift 50lbs or more
  • Ability to stand, crawl, sit, or squat for extended periods
Preferred Qualifications

Additional experience and qualities that would be beneficial in this role include:
  • Basic understanding of building automation controls
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Experience using Salesforce and ServiceMax
  • Ability to pass examination regarding the abilities and know-how of Building Trades Journeyman, conducted by an Examining Board
