About the Role

Riverside Healthcare is seeking a highly skilled Certified Athletic Trainer to join our team in providing athletic training coverage for our orthopedic physician practice. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, developing and implementing athletic training programs, and collaborating with our orthopedic physicians and other healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement athletic training programs for patients, including injury prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation
  • Provide athletic training coverage for interscholastic athletic events, including assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation of injuries
  • Collaborate with our orthopedic physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care
  • Develop and maintain a budget for athletic training supplies and equipment
  • Establish and maintain a working relationship with school nursing staff and other healthcare professionals
  • Complete patient records and maintain accurate documentation of patient care
  • Participate in marketing and promotional events as needed
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training or related field
  • NATA BOC Certification
  • Active Illinois licensure
  • At least 3 years of experience working in a physician practice and secondary school
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
