Key Responsibilities

As a Healthcare Technician, your primary duties will include:

  • Conducting patient check-ins and gathering medical histories.
  • Understanding the patient examination process.
  • Measuring vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse oximetry, and temperature.
  • Utilizing stethoscopes effectively to assess heart and lung sounds.
  • Having a foundational knowledge of medications.
  • Assisting healthcare providers during patient examinations via telehealth platforms.
  • Performing diagnostic tests in patients' homes, such as EKGs, ABI tests, and spirometry.
  • Administering vaccines and medications as directed by physicians, ensuring proper documentation.
  • Maintaining a valid driver's license and reliable transportation for patient visits.
Daily Duties

Your daily responsibilities will also include:

  • Logging into route management applications to confirm patient schedules.
  • Reviewing electronic medical records (EMR) for appointment details.
  • Establishing communication with assigned providers at the start of your shift.
  • Contacting patients prior to visits to provide estimated arrival times.
  • Creating patient cases to document concerns and requests.
  • Notifying clinical staff of any testing issues or patient no-shows.
  • Troubleshooting medical equipment and reporting issues promptly.
  • Maintaining an accurate inventory of medical supplies.
  • Entering patient data, including vital signs and test results, into EMR.
  • Assisting with wound assessments and documentation.
  • Uploading necessary documents for provider review.
