We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Operations Specialist to join our team at ArgenTech Solutions. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for the safe operation and maintenance of our Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) and client UAS, as well as assisting in the development of UAS programmatic materials for our clients.
Key Responsibilities:- Project Lead for conducting approved work for customers, including conducting demonstrations, training in operational flights and data analytics as required for our clients.
- Assist in the flight design, integration, and testing of our owned (or customer-supported) aircraft, sensors, and/or processing equipment.
- Identify and market opportunities that can utilize or expand opportunities for our UAS assets (including equipment, services).
- Develop, edit, and publish technical documentation for UAS training, operations, maintenance, and production.
- Organize, plan, and conduct UAS commercial operations to meet customer needs.
- Maintain working knowledge and compliance with applicable FAA regulations.
- Complete all pre and post-mission planning documents, including Site Assessment, Risk Assessment, Mission Planning, Flight Planning, Data Collection/Sensor Planning, etc.
- Perform duties of a remote pilot safely and effectively without supervision, including flight operations, maintenance, and record keeping.
- Experience: Unmanned Aircraft - Certified in at least one UAS platform or 100 hours total sUAS flight time.
- FAA Remote Pilot Airman Certificate (14 CFR part 107).
- Experience with employing operational risk management and flight safety discipline.
- Experience in developing, editing, and publishing technical documentation for training, operations, maintenance, and production.
- Motivated and detail-oriented.
- Able to pass ArgenTech Solutions background investigation.
- Excellent communication skills and strong customer service background.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a small team environment.
- Ability to exercise discretion and judgment with customers and peers.
- Demonstrate resourcefulness and ingenuity in dealing with challenging situations.
- Must be able to communicate effectively with internal and external customers both verbally and in writing.
- Possess strong leadership and organizational skills and work as part of a team.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook applications.
- Hold a valid U.S. Passport.
- Possess a valid U.S. Driver's License.
- Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs. unassisted for short distances.
- Ability to work in small, cramped spaces.
- Ability to traverse uneven terrain while carrying 40 lbs.
- Ability to bend and/or twist legs, arms, and body within normal range of motion.
- Ability to stand and walk without rest for at least two hours.
- Ability to perform required job duties outdoors in weather conditions that may include high and low temperatures, rain, snow, and high winds.
- Manned aviation flight experience: FAA Private Pilot's License (Instrument or higher rating preferred).
- Experience with high altitude, long endurance fixed wing UAS.
- Experience in UAS-based remote sensing - mapping, monitoring preferred.
- Four-year undergraduate degree in a related field or two-year undergraduate degree plus five years' experience in UAS manufacturing or UAS maintenance.
- Five or more years' experience in manufacturing and/or maintenance.
- Five or more years' experience as a certified trainer or instructor.
