We are seeking a skilled Class A CDL Delivery Driver to join our team in a critical role that plays a vital part in the country's food supply chain. As a Logistics Specialist, you will be responsible for delivering and unloading food and related products to customers in a safe and timely manner.
Responsibilities- Communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and coworkers to ensure questions are answered accurately and promptly.
- Work collaboratively as part of a team within the department and organization, performing duties assigned to best serve the company.
- Conduct thorough safety checks (pre/post trip) on tractor/truck and trailer according to Department of Transportation regulations, ensuring they meet company safety standards.
- Report any safety issues or required repairs.
- Familiarize yourself with DOT regulations and company safe driving guidelines and policies, adhering to them at all times.
- Identify and report any safety hazards.
- Inspect trailers for properly loaded and secured freight.
- Verify delivery of items with customers and obtain signatures where necessary.
- Collect payment (cash or checks) when required.
- Safeguard and secure equipment, materials, and freight throughout your shift.
- A minimum of 12 months of commercial driving experience.
- A valid Class A CDL license.
- Meet state-specific licensing and/or certification requirements (where applicable).
- Be at least 21 years old.
- Maintain a clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for the past three years.
- Pass a post-offer drug test, criminal background check, and road test.
- Possess a valid current DOT Health Card or be able to obtain one.
- Ability to lift and move product cases/freight of varying size and weight using equipment such as two-wheelers, lift gates, etc.
