Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at General Dynamics Ordnance & Tactical Systems. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of our equipment and systems, ensuring they are in optimal working condition.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise Maintenance Team: Lead a team of maintenance personnel in performing routine preventive maintenance and safety inspections on equipment and systems.
  • Equipment Maintenance and Repair: Oversee the maintenance and repair of equipment and systems, including mechanical, electrical, and control systems.
  • Equipment Failure Analysis: Conduct thorough analyses of equipment failures to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Technical Reporting: Prepare and submit technical reports to document equipment modifications and maintenance procedures.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory levels of spare parts and materials.
  • Training and Development: Provide training and coaching to maintenance team members to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
Requirements
  • Education: Associate's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of relevant experience in maintenance and repair of equipment and systems.
  • Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills, ability to analyze complex problems and implement solutions, and knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Start-ups: Experience with project planning, establishing business processes, management systems, and work instructions.
Physical Demands
  • Physical Activity: Regular movement throughout GD-OTS facilities, ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods, and ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Travel Requirements
  • Travel: Less than 25% travel likely.
