Senior Physical Therapist

As a Senior Physical Therapist at Kaiser Permanente, you will play a vital role in providing independent physical therapy management to patients under the direction of the Rehabilitation Services Director or designee. Your expertise will be utilized in specialized patient care clinics, and you will assist in the development, implementation, and review of departmental patient care programs.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate patients and interpret evaluation findings to determine the nature and extent of dysfunction, establishing treatment goals and plans to achieve established objectives.
- Implement the treatment plan through direct treatment of the patient, delegate a portion of the treatment plan to appropriate supportive personnel, and coordinate the treatment program with other healthcare personnel as necessary.
- Provide advice and education to patients and families, regularly reassessing clinical signs and symptoms to determine the effectiveness of treatment, progress towards goals, and the need for modifying goals and treatment.
- Discharge patients from physical therapy when they have received maximum benefit from physical therapy, providing accurate and timely documentation of physical therapy patient management.
- Participate in appropriate and approved educational and clinical research activities in physical therapy, participating in specialized patient care clinics outside the department as needed.
- Assist in the development, implementation, and review of departmental patient care programs, performing other duties as needed in the areas of staff education, departmental operations, and departmental projects.
- Minimum two (2) years of experience in physical therapy.
- Graduate of an accredited physical therapy curriculum with a bachelors, masters, or doctoral degree with certification in physical therapy or foreign-trained equivalent.
- Physical Therapist License (California) required at hire, Basic Life Support required at hire, National Provider Identifier required at hire.
- Must be able to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment.
