Logistics Specialist

Ashby Lumber Company is seeking a skilled Delivery Driver to join our team in the Bay Area. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for delivering materials to customers and picking up goods from vendors and customers in a timely and safe manner.
About UsAshby Lumber serves the entire Bay Area from locations in Berkeley and Concord. We supply contractors and homeowners with everything needed for residential and commercial remodeling, rebuilding, and renovation.
Key Responsibilities- Customer Interaction:
- Provide exceptional customer service on all deliveries.
- Maintain a professional demeanor when interacting with customers, vendors, and their employees.
- Delivery:
- Possess a valid Class A driver's license and maintain a clean Motor Vehicle Record.
- E nsure vehicles are loaded accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain a positive attitude, even in heavy traffic and challenging driving conditions.
- Assist with loading and unloading products as needed.
- Safety:
- Demonstrate excellent driving skills and knowledge of traffic laws.
- Perform daily vehicle inspections.
- Pass regular DOT alcohol/drug screenings.
- Operate vehicles safely, adhering to Ashby Lumber's Driving Policy.
- Report any accidents in accordance with Ashby Lumber's Accident Reporting Policy.
- Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required; previous experience in logistics or delivery preferred.
- Licenses and Certifications: Valid Class A driver's license, clean Motor Vehicle Record, and ability to pass DOT screenings.
- Competitive hourly rate: $24.00 - $28.00
