Compensation: $76 per hour on W2

Position Overview:

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in our Corporate Engineering team, delivering application software development services or technical support for moderately complex scenarios. This position entails gathering requirements, preparing Business Requirement Documents (BRD) and Software Requirement Documents (SRD), and possessing a deep understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). The Lead Developer will be responsible for reviewing test plans and data, developing new programs, designing and coding applications, and creating test transactions. Collaboration with architects to design, code, test, and implement application programs is essential, along with proposing innovative and creative technology solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver application software development services or technical support for moderately complex scenarios.
  • Gather requirements and prepare BRD/SRD documentation.
  • Review test plans and test data.
  • Develop new programs of moderate complexity, adhering to basic application system designs and specifications.
  • Design and code applications, create test transactions, and execute tests to identify errors and refine programs.
  • Prepare final and detailed versions of system modification requirements, ensuring timely and accurate turnovers.
  • Collaborate with architects to design, code, test, and implement application programs.
  • Analyze organizational needs and goals for the development and implementation of application systems.
  • Propose innovative and creative technology solutions.
  • Contribute to the achievement of related teams' objectives.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in Python development.
  • 3+ years of experience with Spark.
  • 2+ years of experience in CI/CD practices.
  • 3+ years of experience with PySpark.
  • 2+ years of experience in Microservice Architecture.

Preferred Technologies:

  • Familiarity with Hadoop, Kafka, and Impala.
  • Experience in big data development and homegrown systems operating in an open-source environment.

Compensation considerations will take into account skills, experience, and other compensable factors. The pay range provided reflects a W2 hourly rate; alternative employment options may be available that could result in compensation outside of the stated range.

W2 employees of Eliassen Group who are regularly scheduled to work 30 or more hours per week are eligible for a range of benefits, including medical (with a choice of three plans), dental, vision, pre-tax accounts, and other voluntary benefits such as life and disability insurance, a 401(k) with matching, and sick time as required by law.
