Job Summary

JobRialto is seeking a skilled Medical Surgical Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team. As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide nursing care for the comfort and well-being of patients, adhering to principles of infection control and maintaining patient confidentiality.
  • Administer medications, perform IV therapy, and prepare IV fluids and equipment within the scope of practice.
  • Assist with complex sterile procedures, observe and report signs of injury, infiltration, and/or inflammation of the injection site.
  • Document observations, treatment, and patient response to treatment/nursing care, and assist with the development/revision of the care plan.
  • Participate in patient and family education, under supervision, and maintain current competency in medical surgical nursing.
Marginal Functions
  • Perform clerical tasks, such as handling department reports and forms, and making copies of charts and related forms.
  • Assist with procurement of supplies and perform duties normally performed by other staff members.
Physical Requirements

The position requires walking, standing, sitting, lifting, reaching, bending, pushing, and pulling. The ability to lift and support the weight of 50 pounds is necessary for handling patients, medical equipment, and supplies. Intact sense of sight, hearing, and other perceptual senses are required to perform essential duties.

Education and Experience
  • Graduation from an accredited school of practical nursing.
  • Current License in good standing to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the state of practice.
  • At least one year of current experience as a Medical Surgical Licensed Practical Nurse within the area of practice.
Equipment Used

The Licensed Practical Nurse is expected to be familiar with commonly used machines, tools, and equipment of the nursing profession.
