Job Summary:As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a vital role in providing top-notch dental care and educating patients on oral health. Your responsibilities will include:
Key Responsibilities:- Ensuring patient comfort and providing a positive experience
- Properly sterilizing dental instruments and maintaining a clean and safe environment
- Conducting initial mouth screenings and reviewing oral health history
- Identifying conditions like gingivitis, caries, or periodontitis and providing treatment options
- Cleaning and protecting patients' teeth, including removing plaque and applying fluoride
- Teaching patients of all ages about proper oral hygiene and demonstrating brushing techniques
- Providing instructions after operations or other dental procedures
- Taking X-rays or dental impressions and assisting dentists in selecting treatments
- Maintaining accurate patient records and charts
- Monitoring and managing dental supplies
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Proven experience as a Dental Hygienist or Periodontal Therapist
- Deep knowledge of health and safety regulations (e.g., HIPAA)
- Experience in preparing and maintaining dental equipment
- Outstanding communication skills and a friendly, patient demeanor
- Exceptional attention to detail and physical stamina
- Diploma in Dental Hygiene; a Master's degree is a plus
- Valid license to practice as a Dental Hygienist
- Ability to digitally scan patients and understand Invisalign and its benefits
