Position Overview

Purpose: This role is integral to delivering exceptional client service and administration for a designated portfolio of trust and investment management clients within the Trust Department. The Trust Officer plays a vital role in enhancing growth, profitability, operational effectiveness, and providing exemplary fiduciary services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage fiduciary accounts in accordance with governing documents.
  • Process distribution requests efficiently.
  • Prepare for and actively participate in Trust Committee meetings.
  • Engage professionally and tactfully with account owners, beneficiaries, and other stakeholders.
  • Conduct annual regulatory reviews to ensure compliance.
  • Facilitate the opening and closing of accounts.
  • Handle requests for investment transfers or trades.
  • Prepare and submit court accountings as necessary.
  • Collaborate directly with investment advisors to achieve investment goals.
  • Attend client meetings and calls to provide support.
  • Coordinate with securities operations personnel.
  • Oversee bill payment processes.
  • Generate system reports detailing financial information.
  • Assist in audit processes as required.
  • Calculate and collect management fees according to established fee schedules.
  • Perform additional duties within the Trust Department as assigned.

Qualifications for Success

  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree is required.
  • CTFA certification or equivalent experience is advantageous.
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience or a degree in trust administration is preferred.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills are essential.
  • Demonstrated accuracy and transparency in work.
  • Strong reading comprehension skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail while ensuring timely and efficient work.
  • Commitment to adherence to policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • High level of privacy and confidentiality is mandatory.
  • Team-oriented mindset with a collaborative attitude.
  • Experience in trust services or a law degree is required.
