We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Sanitation Laborer to join our team at the Kraft Heinz Company's Woodstock Plant. As a Sanitation Laborer, you will play a critical role in maintaining a clean and safe working environment for our employees and ensuring the highest quality products for our customers.
Key Responsibilities- Remove or cover edible products to prevent contamination and ensure food safety.
- Position drain baskets/screens and clean drains to prevent clogs and maintain proper sanitation.
- Pick up miscellaneous trash and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Wipe and cover equipment not adaptable to wet cleaning to prevent damage and maintain sanitation.
- Turn off power on equipment to be dismantled and follow lockout/blockout procedures to ensure safety.
- Dismantle equipment and apply detergent, brush, and scour to clean and sanitize surfaces.
- Perform miscellaneous cleaning tasks, including sweeping, scrubbing, polishing, and dusting, throughout the facility.
- Perform special projects, including non-routine cleaning and painting, as assigned by the Sanitation Supervisor.
- Responsible for notifying the Sanitation Supervisor of any mechanical problems and ensuring proper placement of sanitation utensils after use.
- Must try to recycle as much recyclable waste as possible and operate handtrucks to move materials.
- Push waste carts and dispose of waste properly, working safely and promoting safe working conditions.
- Responsible for minor production set-up, including filling glue pots, assembling equipment, and placing items in proper place.
- May also perform additional miscellaneous duties as directed by the Sanitation Supervisor.
- Reads and writes either Spanish or English to follow written procedures and fill out pre-operational forms.
- Measures chemical concentrations and records the results.
