Job Summary:To serve our internal and external customers by efficiently building and loading pallets of product to be delivered to our customers. This role is responsible for accurately building pallets of product, loading them onto trucks, and ensuring that each pallet is loaded correctly according to established standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Builds pallets of product accurately by identifying the proper location and quantity of product requested on build sheets.
• Utilizes mechanical equipment to load pallets onto trucks, ensuring that each pallet is loaded correctly onto the correct truck as requested on build sheets.
• Adheres to all company policies, standards, and procedures, including OSHA and safety requirements, AIB and Pepsi standards, Federal/State/Local laws, and wears all personal protective equipment.
• Stacks products and builds pallets according to established standards to ensure stability and safety of pallets.
• Communicates with co-workers, supervisor, and management team verbally regarding the status of work activities and other information.
• Maintains cleanliness and assists in the organization of the warehouse, including cutting away shrink wrap from pallets, gathering damaged materials, cleaning up spills, stocking and filling storage racks, and moving and parking trucks to maintain an efficient and timely loading process.
• Completes equipment safety checklists, build sheet forms, time-off requests, and other required paperwork according to established standards.
• Notifies restocker of stock outages so that product can be replenished on staging racks.
• Trains new employees to perform Warehouse Loader job duties.
• Works assigned schedule, exhibits regular and predictable attendance, and works overtime as needed to meet workload demands.
Requirements:
• High School or GED
• 0-1 years of material handling experience in a warehouse environment; previous food/beverage warehouse experience strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of warehouse/food distribution environment and beverage industry, skill in internal customer service, ability to count accurately, read and write, work independently, quickly and efficiently, communicate effectively, adapt to change, operate mechanical equipment, and perform basic math functions.
