We are seeking a skilled Medical Laboratory Scientist - Cytology Specialist to join our team at LifeBridge Health. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and reliability of cytologic specimens.

Job Summary

The Cytology Specialist is responsible for preparing and screening all cytologic specimens, assisting on fine needle procedures, and interpreting findings under the direction of a pathologist. You will follow laboratory policies and procedures in accordance with all regulatory agency requirements, including CAP, JCAHO, OSHA, and CLIA.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and screen all cytologic specimens
  • Assist on fine needle procedures
  • Interpret findings under the direction of a pathologist
  • Follow laboratory policies and procedures in accordance with regulatory agency requirements
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Clinical Laboratory Science or a related field
  • 2-4 years of experience in cytology or a related field
  • Cytologist - Board Registered or specialist in Cytology by recognized credentialing board
