We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Paralegal to join our team in the Highlands Region Public Defender Office located in Bangor. The successful candidate will provide support to multiple attorneys, performing case preparation and investigative tasks necessary for providing effective assistance of counsel.

• Assist attorneys with case preparation, research, and document management
• Communicate with court officials, law enforcement, and other stakeholders
• Manage files, records, and data with high accuracy and attention to detail
• Provide administrative support to the team, including calendar management and correspondence

• Training, education, or experience in office and administrative support work, with a focus on legal processes
• Ability to research complex legal issues and analyze problems
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
