Position Schedule: PRN

Shift Details: Day shifts, including a minimum of two weekend days each month.

Community Focus: You will be serving within the AdventHealth DeLand Rehabilitation Services.

Your Role:

As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will:

  • Evaluate and implement medically prescribed speech language pathology treatment programs.

Your Contributions:

In this role, you will:

  • Assess patients' abilities to perform speech language, cognitive, and swallowing tasks safely and effectively.
  • Design and execute a tailored treatment plan based on established practice standards, insurance guidelines, and individual patient needs.
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
  • Document and charge services accurately and timely, adhering to standards of practice and departmental policies.
  • Assist with discharge planning and provide guidance on adaptive equipment and follow-up services.
  • Supervise therapy aides in accordance with regulatory standards.

Qualifications for Success:

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid license or provisional license in Florida as a Speech and Language Pathologist.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech & Hearing Association (ASHA).
