Job Summary

Soliant is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Occupational Therapist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing and addressing students' occupational therapy needs, developing personalized intervention plans, and educating and training families and caregivers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations and assessments of students' occupational therapy needs to identify areas of strength and weakness.
  • Develop and implement individualized intervention plans to address each student's unique needs, with a focus on promoting independence and functional skills.
  • Educate students and their families about occupational therapy, its benefits, and effective management techniques to ensure a collaborative approach to treatment.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student progress and ensure a comprehensive understanding of each student's needs.
  • Provide direct therapy to students in individual or group settings, utilizing a variety of techniques and strategies to promote engagement and motivation.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of student conditions, treatment plans, therapy sessions, and progress to inform future treatment decisions.
  • Participate in IEP meetings and provide recommendations for student support to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated approach to education.
  • Stay updated on the latest research and best practices in occupational therapy to ensure the delivery of evidence-based services.
  • Supervise and provide guidance to occupational therapy assistants as needed to ensure the effective delivery of services.
  • Engage in professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in the field, with a focus on staying current with industry trends and best practices.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in an occupational therapy setting, with a focus on working with students in a school setting.
  • Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, with full accreditation (OTR) preferred.
  • Valid state license or eligibility for licensure.
