CNC Machinist - Swiss Machine Specialist

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate advanced CNC machines and assist with set-ups of basic CNC machines.
  • Primary job function will be the operation of Swiss-centered machinery.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, read basic blueprints or mechanical drawings.
  • Recognize machining or manufacturing problems to produce defect-free parts while meeting production requirements.

Work Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum of 4-6 years' experience setting up basic CNC production equipment.
  • Minimum of 4-6 years' experience operating advanced CNC production equipment.

Knowledge Requirements:

  • Demonstrated competency in the set-up and operation of CNC and manual mills, lathes, EDM, grinders, ECG, and/or mill-turns.
  • Ability to adjust tool wear offsets, adjust work (fixture) offsets, and safely perform mid-program starts.
  • Basic understanding of the mechanical steps required to install and align the designated tools and hardware for metal cutting/fabricating.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints, apply shop math, and basic metrology tools.
