SpaceX is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Aerospace Technician to join our team at the Falcon Operations site. As a key member of our launch site assembly team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful launch of our world-class launch vehicle.
Key Responsibilities- Stage, set up, assemble, and test flight hardware and equipment per technical work instructions.
- Perform hands-on operations with large and small, fragile ESD sensitive assemblies.
- Use various mechanical tools and heavy machinery to complete tasks.
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and install fluid and electromechanical components from a schematic or drawing.
- Work closely with engineers and leadership to develop and implement operational improvements.
- Rapidly change roles and responsibilities while working in a high-paced, challenging work environment.
- High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
- 2+ years of professional experience working hands-on as a technician in the aerospace, aviation, automotive, production, manufacturing, or oil and gas industry.
- Airframe & Powerplant License (preferred).
- Associate degree in aerospace technology or equivalent area of study (preferred).
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to take project goals, inputs, and work toward the end-goal beyond individual task assignment.
Must be able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with varying temperatures, humidity, and noise levels. Must be willing to work at elevated heights, including the use of ladders, and operate heavy machinery. Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. unassisted and work in confined spaces.
