Job Title: Domestic Violence Agent

Join the State of South Carolina in a critical role that requires dedication and compassion. As a Domestic Violence Agent, you will serve as the first line of supervision for a Domestic Violence caseload, maintaining a professional communication network and promoting public relations within the local community and with service providers.

Responsibilities:
  • Under general supervision, serve as the first line of supervision for a Domestic Violence caseload.
  • Maintain a professional communication network inside and outside the Department.
  • Promote public relations within the local community and with service providers.
  • Maintain effective knowledge of all areas of Domestic Violence Supervision, Programs, Policies, and Protocols.
  • Participate in trainings and maintain all requirements for Domestic Violence Certification.
Requirements:
  • A bachelor's degree with at least 15 semester hours in social or behavioral science courses.
  • Experience in probation and parole work, or an associate's degree and two years of military or certified law enforcement experience.
  • A high school diploma and four years of military or certified law enforcement experience may be substituted.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • A bachelor's degree in criminal justice, social work, psychology, sociology, education, counseling, or other social behavior sciences.
  • Completion of two years of experience in criminal justice, counseling, or related professional human service work.
