Job Summary

This position is responsible for supporting disaster response and recovery efforts, maintaining organizational charts, and providing technical guidance to emergency management professionals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement emergency management plans and procedures
  • Provide technical guidance and support to emergency management teams
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date organizational charts and records
  • Assist in the analysis of data to identify trends and process improvements
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to achieve emergency management goals
Requirements

To be eligible for this position, you must have one year of specialized experience in emergency management, which has equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position.

Experience may be obtained in the federal government, a state or local government, or private sector, and must demonstrate the following:

  • Assisting with developing, coordinating, implementing, and reviewing plans for response emergency management operations
  • Utilizing computer programs to develop and/or present information to a variety of stakeholders
  • Assisting in the analysis of data to identify trends and/or process improvements

OR master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B.

OR Combination of education and experience.

Working Conditions

This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent travel and deployment to disaster sites. You must be able to obtain and maintain a Government credit card and be able to deploy with little or no advance notice to anywhere in the United States and its territories for an extended period of time.
