About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Analyst Consultant to join our team at Blue Shield of California. As a key member of our Data & Analytics team, you will be responsible for working with stakeholders across the enterprise to accelerate business objectives.

Your primary focus will be on developing and implementing data-driven solutions to improve patient outcomes, increase provider efficiency, and lower healthcare costs. You will collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into actionable insights using sustainable and scalable reporting mechanisms.

As a Data Analyst Consultant, you will be accountable for the reliability of data and the validity and accuracy of analytical results. You will also be responsible for communicating project status, progress, and outcomes to leaders and stakeholders.

Requirements for this role include an MPH, MBA, MS, MA in science, social science, public health, health services research, or business, or a BA/BS with demonstrated equivalent work experience. You must also have at least five years of experience in healthcare analytics, with facility with at least two additional of the following: clinical coding, clinical treatment, large-scale health databases, health statistics, program evaluation methods, data management methods, econometrics, quality measurement methods, mathematical/statistical modeling, statistical graphics, process control statistics, health insurance business principles, and general business/finance principles.
