Job Summary

We are seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team in a home healthcare setting. The successful candidate will work closely with patients to help them regain and maintain mobility, strength, and function, leading to positive patient outcomes in accordance with physician orders and plan of care.

Responsibilities
  • Assist patients in achieving their goals and improving their quality of life through occupational therapy interventions.
  • Work collaboratively with occupational therapists, directors of clinical services, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement effective treatment plans.
  • Conduct home visits to assess patients' needs and provide therapy services in a safe and supportive environment.
  • Document patient progress and maintain accurate records of treatment plans and outcomes.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination.
Requirements
  • A person who meets and maintains the requirements for certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant established by the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA).
  • Current licensure/certification in the state(s) in which practicing.
  • Lymphedema Certification.
  • Two (2) years' experience practicing as a COTA; Home Health preferred.
  • Reliable transportation and valid driver's license for the state of Florida.
  • Ability to work with different personalities and conditions.
