Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Structural Steel Estimator to prepare accurate cost estimates for structural steel projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of modeling and drafting software, as well as excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare detailed cost estimates for structural steel projects based on project drawings and specifications.
• Analyze project requirements, including material, labor, and overhead costs, to develop accurate and comprehensive bids.
• Collaborate with engineers and project managers to clarify project details and address any discrepancies.
• Utilize modeling and drafting software to create and review project layouts, ensuring all estimates align with design specifications.
• Maintain and update pricing databases to reflect current market trends and material costs.
• Participate in bid meetings and presentations, effectively communicating estimates and rationale to stakeholders.
• Monitor and evaluate project costs throughout the lifecycle to identify potential savings and improvements.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.
• 3 years of experience in estimating within the structural steel industry.
• Proficiency in Tekla is highly preferred.
• Proficiency in Modeling software such as Tekla Structures, SDS2, or AutoCAD is also preferred.
• Strong understanding of structural steel fabrication and erection processes.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with team members and clients.
