Job Description
Primrose School at Edinburgh Commons is seeking a Transportation Vehicle Driver and Explorer Teacher to ensure the health, safety, and welfare of children, staff, and passengers during bus transportation. The ideal candidate will have experience working with young children and possess a valid driver's license. Key responsibilities include observing health and safety regulations, maintaining vehicle cleanliness, and following procedures to ensure child safety. The successful candidate will also be responsible for implementing lesson plans, maintaining a well-kept classroom, and providing verbal recognition and acceptance to children. Additional requirements include attending staff meetings and maintaining a professional appearance.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure the health, safety, and welfare of children, staff, and passengers during bus transportation
  • Maintain vehicle cleanliness and report any problems to the Director
  • Follow procedures to ensure child safety, including ensuring all children have departed the bus at the end of all bus routes
  • Implement lesson plans and maintain a well-kept classroom
  • Provide verbal recognition and acceptance to children
  • Attend staff meetings and maintain a professional appearance

Requirements
  • Experience working with young children
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
